The Chupacabra (originally El Chupacabras; which is Spanish for "The Goatsucker") is an elusive predatory cryptid reported to drain its victims entirely of notorious creature is often spoken about with fear, although it seemingly prefers to run away from humans, rather than attack them. Its most common prey appears to be medium-sized domestic animals such as goats, . Every year Paper Dragon USA publishes a package of test questions for various state award book lists from which students read the books and then compete in book battles and other activities. El Chupacabras is currently on the Texas Bluebonnet nominees .
